Our History
HEMPI (Hielite Empowerment Initiative) was founded with the mission to create the greatest possible impact in the lives of individuals—especially those who have historically been left behind.
From the very beginning, we adopted a research-led approach and an entrepreneurial mindset, allowing our programs and partnerships to grow across diverse fields of empowerment. Our history reflects not only the reach and impact of our work, but also how we arrived at our focus on education, skills development, and community transformation.
Over the years, HEMPI has incubated and supported numerous empowerment projects and initiatives, helping them scale to reach thousands of people and improve life chances across multiple sectors.
We remain deeply proud of our legacy programs—many of which continue to create lasting impact today.
